WHY SEVEN SUMMITS?

to find queer heroes inside each of us and to inspire others

THE STORY

Dastan got inspired of Seven Summits during the cycling tour from his birth place Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan to his new home city Berlin in Germany. He and Steffen created the campaign PinkSummits in 2018. As a former LGBT+ activist in Kyrgyzstan and a passionate mountaineer, a nature lover and a digital nomad Dastan is bonded to nature. He and Steffen build up a queer team (now there are eight of us!) to conquer all Seven Summits. They do it for the sake of visibility of LGBT+ across the world. They inspire young LGBT+ to believe in their powers and abilities to change the world.
